• Hi folks, My name is Braden and I work in a little room in the back of the San Public Library, ed the Digital Story Station. Its part of a project between the Media Arts Center of San, and the California State Library, and is aiming to utilize the newfangled abilities and abundances of streaming video to create a Digital Story Database that is completely accessible to the public. Everything is in place for this to happen, and now all we need is for the public to come in and tell their stories. Right now we are handling stories of 3 to 5 minutes (after editing, if any) and can include up to 20 photographs relating to your story. These stories can be about ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING and we are looking for people from ALL WALKS OF LIFE to come in and tell one (or up to -!). We particularly enjoy stories that have something to do with San in some fashion, but even THAT isn’t a requirement. The technology now exists for every story to be heard, but it needs to be captured first! And that’s what I do times a week in this little room I speak of.
